I usually do this right before going to bed at night.
1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees
2. While oven is preheating place sculpture on a cookie sheet
3. If the sculpture is too tall to fit in the oven lay it down on the cookie sheet and make sure to support the concave areas, for example, behind the neck or legs or wings. Use wadded up wax paper or aluminum foil for supports.
4. Place sculpture in oven*
5. Set timer for 2 minutes (no longer)
6. When the timer goes off, turn the oven off, but leave the sculpture in the oven. Do not attempt to open the oven door at this time.
7. Leave the sculpture in the oven for 5-8 hours or until it is completely cool. So go to bed an get a good night's sleep.
8. Remove sculpture from the oven in the morning.
* In case you have horns, or other kinds of high relief details on your sculpture be sure to make a little tent out of aluminum foil to lightly place over your sculpture (not unlike the kind of tent cover you make when cooking a turkey - gobble, gobble!
